The Door is Open
Everybody's looking for something and sooner or later they get religious. You may be an atheist but you still have a god. You may trust in money, people or even exalt yourself. You still serve someone or something in your pursuit of filling up your life. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life: no one comes to the Father except by Me."

You were made for God's pleasure. You were created by Him for Him. Now if in your heart it angers you when you hear that truth, it's for one of two reasons. Either you're angry because you recognize you've been deceived and hate lies or you're a fool. The bible says, "The fool has said in his heart there is no God". (Psalm 14:1)

One of the many amazing things about God is that He is no respecter of persons. His invitation to eternal life, His kingdom and blessings are open to whoever wills. God so loved all of humanity that He gave His only son. Whoever believes and trusts in Jesus shall not die but have everlasting life. God never has an identity crisis over who does and doesn't believe Him. On the other hand, you and I make eternal choices based on what we do or don't believe.

The perfect God made a sure way through the sacrifice of Jesus for whomever to enjoy His awesome promises. Imagine a room full of priceless treasures, codes and everything possible to desire. It would have to be protected against lawlessness and since everybody has broken God's law in some way, there is no one able to enter. Until one perfect man, the Son of God, mysteriously becomes the way into this room. Based on His merit and rightness alone, there now is access to the "treasure room". In the book of Matthew chapter 16 Jesus literally says that He will give us the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

Whoever you are and no matter what your background, this place of favor with God is meant for you. There is only one way and just one door. The passage requires this one thing: your submission to His way. It's your nothing for His everything. Yes, it would be totally impossible but for one thing; the door is open.
